Frequently Asked Questions

What premium spirits do you use?

We use Earl Giles distilled grain Vodka, London Dry Gin and Superior Light Rum. We currently outsource the Whiskey from Kentucky, but we are working on our own Whiskey that will be available soon.

Where do you make the drinks?

We are partners in Earl Giles, a distillery, apothecary, canning company, bar, and restaurant in the Minneapolis Arts District. From distilling the alcohol to creating the cocktails in the Drinks Apothecary to canning them on site and straight to the bar, we do it all under one roof.

Do you give tours?

Yes! Visit us and see where the cocktails are made. Take a tour of the distillery and the Drinks Apothecary, try all the drinks, see how they are canned and enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. There is also a beautiful bar with many other drink options: www.earlgiles.com

Do you use any artificial ingredients?

No. We do not use any artificial ingredients or artificial coloring.

What does the name Art & Rev stand for?

The founders have a background in the arts. They want you to focus on and appreciate the art and the beauty around you while they rev (stir up) the drinks.

A & R is also a play on a music industry term for “Artists & Repertoire”; much like how A&R representatives search out the most cutting edge new musical acts, Art & Rev was created with today’s tastemakers in mind.

What does high ABV mean?

ABV stands for Alcohol by Volume. It is the standard measurement of how much alcohol is in each volume of an alcoholic beverage. Our drinks range from 9.5%-13.5% ABV.

Many RTD’s are wine, or malt based, we use real premium spirits which will have higher ABV. You would need to buy 2.5 - 3 cans of the average spiked seltzer to get the same value from one can of A & R.
